Divisional penalties and fees
Some penalty provisions in legislation refer to Division "X" imprisonment or a Division "Y" fine or a Division "Z" fee. This is a reference to levels of imprisonment, fines and expiation fees set out in section 28A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1915 as follows:
